Sunflower Butter Yogurt Dip - Creamy, Nut-Free, and Ready in Minutes

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (whole milk or 2% for best texture)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened sunflower seed butter (stirred well)
  • 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk or water (as needed to loosen)
  • Pinch of fine salt
  • Optional add-ins: 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips, or a drizzle of toasted sesame oil for depth

Method

  1. Stir the sunflower butter: If it’s separated, stir the jar until smooth. This prevents oily streaks in the dip.
  2. Combine the base: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt and sunflower butter until fully blended and creamy.
  3. Add flavor: Whisk in the maple syrup or honey, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust sweetness.
  4. Adjust the texture: If it’s too thick, whisk in milk or water 1 tablespoon at a time until it’s dippable. Aim for a soft, spoonable consistency.
  5. Optional extras: Stir in cinnamon for warmth, lemon juice for brightness, or mini chocolate chips for a fun twist.
  6. Chill (optional): Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve with fruit, veggies, pretzels, or crackers.
