Prep the yogurt: Add 1 to 1.5 cups of plain yogurt to a bowl.
If you like it sweeter, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup. For extra aroma, add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.
Make the tamarind swirl: In a small cup, mix 1 to 1.5 tablespoons tamarind concentrate with 1 to 2 teaspoons honey, a pinch of salt, and a tiny pinch of cinnamon. Taste and adjust—tangy but not harsh is the goal.
Adjust thickness: If your tamarind paste is very thick, loosen it with 1 teaspoon of warm water until it’s pourable but not watery.
Assemble: Spoon the yogurt into a serving bowl.
Drizzle the tamarind mixture over the top.
Swirl, don’t stir: Use a knife or spoon handle to gently swirl the tamarind through the yogurt. Aim for ribbons, not full mixing.
Add toppings: Scatter mango chunks, sliced banana, or berries. Add toasted almonds, pistachios, coconut, or a handful of granola if you like crunch.
Finish and serve: Add a final drizzle of honey if needed, and a few mint leaves.
Serve right away while it’s cool and creamy.
